Guess Who’s Made My Headlines Again?

I love the artists that can give me stuff to talk about on this blog, I just love it.

The pop star Bieber is at it again. This is rare for a simple 19 year old to conjure up such a series of unfortunate events, in such a short period of time. This occurrence, Justin was booed while receiving an award at the billboard award ceremony, and the reasons for all the “hate” can be numerous. Maybe it was the way he was dressed in all his “swag” and stood in a pretentious manner? Or perhaps, it was the award he actually won.

The Milestone Award for Music Ingenuity and Innovation

Forgive me, but I don’t think anyone out there right now deserves an award like that; you need to be original, and not a cookie cutter pop star. Pop is undeniably the most repetitive and copied genre in music, and while I like some of it, I can’t say any of it is full of “ingenuity and innovation.”

But I digress.

So Justin peruses up the stage to accept the award amongst cheers in the front of the arena. The problem is that these cheers are overshadowed by the overwhelming boos from the rest of the crowd. Bieber is somewhat shocked, and just stands at the mic for 30 seconds, allowing the crowd to die down.

Then he gives his speech; Oh lord, that speech. Justin tries to fight back the booing as he thanks his fans for the award, and how he’s “19 years old and doing pretty good.” He goes on about how it ( whatever “it” is) should be about the “craft and art that I create for you.” He makes his thank yous to his mom, dad, and finally, Jesus Christ, then walks off stage with the crowd sill going frantic.

Maybe it was the booing, but I haven’t seen a speech as fake as this in a king time. It had all the generic points made in an acceptance speech, and it would have been decent if JB put at least a little emotion into it. He delivers the speech in a way that comes across as arrogant and cocky, with no genuine appreciation for the award. It makes me wonder why he seemed shocked that he was booed at.

The arrogance of this kid annoys me, but hey, if I were 19 and had 5 number one hits, maybe a small award wouldn’t matter to me. That said, I’d at least act appreciative and would not have the bland attitude of a spoiled child. Oh Justin, when will you learn? Keep this attitude up and you’ll surely fade out of the spotlight.

Better Beliebe it: Another Bieber Blunder

I know it seems like I’m out to get Justin Bieber, but honestly it just seems to be a bad year for the poor kid. First came his London freak out, then came his out of place comment at the Anne Frank house, and now we can add a concert incident to the list that seems to keep building upon itself.

So here we have Justin performing his hit “believe” in concert the other day when he is rushed mid performance by a screaming fan. The belieber plus Justin from his keys, but before any further damage can be done, one of the stage hands tackles the fan. Unfortunately for them, the guard not only tackles the fan, but takes Justin and, of all things, the piano with him. In the video you see the piano collapse down the steps, almost as if it were a cardboard cutout in a furniture store.

But here’s where we have the not so shocking kicker: as all of this is going on, the piano and vocals are not slipping a beat.

It shouldn’t be surprising that the big pop star of the new decade lip syncs, but it’s things like this that prove lip syncing is bad. It’s even worse that he was faking the piano as well, after the truth is revealed I was starting to think the piano was cardboard after all. After this short period of time that the Biebs has been in the spotlight, it seems he’s hitting the decline that happens to all pop stars. I just hope for the sake of the stars dignity ( that is slowly dwindling) that he can pick himself up and take appropriate action for once.

Justin Bieber Strikes Again

Just Bieber is at it again. If his breakdown in London wasn’t enough to get the media’s attention, his newest antic is bound to attract more controversy.

He recently visited the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam while on his latest tour, and left to come across his many fans waiting for him (a good bunch probably oblivious to who the WWII Jewish hero even was.) According to the Facebook page of the Anne Frank house, he wrote in the guest book, with a line that sparked much controversy as follows:

truly inspiring to be able I come here. Anne was a great girl, hopefully she would’ve been a belieber.

At first I read this and started laughing a little, cause at first glance, it’s a humorous thing to hear Justin use his self made term and Anne Frank in the same sentence. But the more I hear about it, the more I realize one thing: it’s quite the insensitive thing to write. The writing in the book carries this level of narcissism I haven’t encountered in a long time. Out of all the things to write about in a guest book in the home of a WWII hero, and Justin is only left HOPING Anne Frank may have liked his oh so wonderful top 40 radio singles (take that sentence in with a ridiculous amount of sarcasm.)

I really don’t know who deserves the most sympathy in this situation. You have Bieber who has made another splash in the media for all the wrong reasons, and isn’t escaping the paparazzi’s firm grip they have on his feminine frame. You could have sympathy for Anne Frank’s legacy and the people running the house who had to deal with the situation.

Honestly, I just feel pity. Pity for the Bieber fans, to which twitter was blowing up with posts wondering why Justin picked a “big nosed Jewish girl” as a new girlfriend. I’m not kidding, people thought she was still alive and together with Justin. It’s stuff like this that makes me weep at the fact I’m in one of the stupidest generations in history. This level of stupidity is ridiculous and needs to stop.

Another Pop Star Loses Their Cool

I’ve been watching the news and going on music websites, and recently it seems the newest story going around is about the one and only Justin Bieber and his recent meltdown that occurred while on his tour in the UK. A brief disclaimer, Justin Bieber is certainly not an artist I care for, I really do not like his music in the slightest, though I found this story about his recent breakdown to be interesting and wanted to learn more.

Before we get into his lashings at the paparazzi, here’s a quick breakdown of what happened (The entirety of the week can be better explained with the article posted below.) First, Mr. Biebs was denied access to a club even though he was old enough to get in. This was due to the fact that the 19-year old wanted to bring in some underage friends who couldn’t come along. Then, Things got worse when the star showed up late for his very own show at the O2 arena. Justin blamed being late on having some breathing issues before the show.

Then you have the final blow. Justin was on his way to his limo when the infamous paparazzi attacked him, telling him to never come back and that he is a terrible musician. The one throwing most of these insults was what the article describes as “a very large and tough-looking member” of the paparazzi. Now, I don’t know about anyone else here, but if I was having a tough week and was being called out by a rather menacing looking photographer, I would be one to just hop in my vehicle and try to avoid any confrontation. Wouldn’t Justin Bieber want to do the same?

No. In a surprise move, good little Justin Bieber throws a complete 180 and starts to threaten the man.

This results in what I could only find as a rather funny and unusual outburst. I can see Justin telling the man he would beat him up, meanwhile swearing up a storm, something I personally have NEVER seen this pop star do. It’s quite amusing in one of the videos I have seen, considering I myself would never even attempt to insult a man who hulks over me in size. I give Justin some major credit for standing up to a man who looks like he could easily knock him out in one punch.

Now the dust is settling form the incident, and Bieber has retreated to the almighty twitter to express his anger. This is where Justin could handle this situation professionally, but he doesn’t. He sends out tweets such as “I am never going back to the UK AGAIN” and “I was working out every morning and had a huge show every night. When people are pushing their camera in your face all day long and yell mean things at you – I’m only human, too.” And while I can see his argument in the stress that comes with touring, he could have handled this better. These tweets come across as very childish in manner, and have the attitude of a child who has just been scolded for the first time. Tantrums are not the way for a 19 year old to react to a “tough” week.

All that being said, I can understand Justin on one thing, and one thing only from this incident. that is the hatred of this thing we have created known as the paparazzi. I think people have a right to live their lives, and it shouldn’t be interrupted by people who want to take pictures of you eating because for some reason we find celebrity lunches to be something to be marveled at. The concept baffles me and I don’t get it one bit, “WOW HE’S EATING A SANDWICH THAT’S SO AWESOME!” is never a statement I have made when I see a photo of a celebrity.

So in conclusion, Justin should learn to handle future incidents with a tad more maturity, and the paparazzi is a strange creation of society.
